I am so excited and honored to be your child's teacher this year. We are going to have an amazing time!

Somethings I would like you to know about life in my classroom. Students are encouraged to work to their best ability in a comfortable environment, where they show respect and receive the same in return. Time is taken to ensure that everyone shares their ideas and opinions, everyone feels they are heard and everyone listens to those around them. In sixth grade being accountable for ones actions, words, choices, grades and success are what is expected in my classroom. As we learn to take responsibility for that we learn to be more successful academically and socially. Coming to school on time and prepared to share and learn promotes a positive learning environment as well.

Homework is assigned every night including most weekends. Reading a book of their choice for at least thirty minutes is a daily assignment. We have a classroom library, students are welcome to borrow books from. All work will be posted nightly on the google homeroom page.
