School Leadership Team
The 5 W’s of the SLT |
What is the CEP? |
|
Who is the SLT ? - The team is composed of an equal number of parents and staff members, which includes the principal, teachers, the PTA president, and elected parents. What is the SLT ? - The SLT is a group of parents and school staff who contribute their input regarding school decisions. |
When and where do they meet? - Meetings take place once a month, in person for two and a half hours. There is a protocol in place for parent participation. Why this team is important? - It is an opportunity for a variety of sub-community groups to contribute their input to the community at large. |
Every school has a Comprehensive Education Plan. It includes the goals and strategies that will lead to improved student outcomes. The SLT uses student data to help to develop these goals. Each school year, they review and revise the School Parent Compact and the Family Engagement Policy, which include the roles of parents and ideas for communication. |
