CS4ALL

CS4All at P.S. 58
In today’s world, technology is an integral part of education, and at P.S. 58 we are committed to preparing students for the future. Every classroom is equipped with a Promethean Board, desktop computers, and iPads for student use. Students in grades 3–6 have individual laptops for daily learning, and our two computer labs provide additional access for grades K–2 multiple times each week.

What is CS4All? Computer Science for All

Computer Science for All (CS4All) is a citywide initiative ensuring that all NYC public school students learn computer science. Through CS4All, students develop essential skills such as computational thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.

Rather than simply using computers to convey ideas, students learn to think with the computer—designing, creating, and innovating. They explore coding, algorithms, and digital projects that challenge them to apply their knowledge in meaningful ways.

CS4All is not always easy, but that’s the point! Students are appropriately challenged, and our goal is to help every child reach their full potential while discovering the exciting world of computer science.
